Position Sensors Offer Multiple Uses

Aug. 1, 1998

Used as an actuator (on control panels) or a feedback position sensor (on a pivot point feeding back a position), DigiSense position sensor features a conductive plastic potentiometer output with the analog signal and absolute position and a digital logic output that provides limit switch functions, logic signals and zone logic. DigiSense can provide an actuator output for use in pedal position sensing, industrial controls, throttle position sensing, and motor actuators, and a feedback output for angular motion sensing or pivot point position feedback. Using a standard housing, bushing, shaft and pin configuration, using engineers can design their own elements to match required functions and FAX the design to the firm for prototyping.
