Employing a brushless motor design with an epoxy core, the LEM Series of linear servo motors has an overall width of only 28 mm and can deliver 75 lb. of peak force. The epoxy core is said to provide ultra-smooth motion because there are no cogging forces. Air and water cooling options are available for use in extremely high-duty-cycle applications. The series comes in four model sizes that can be matched with options to provide a variety of linear encoder and motion controls.
