The RGH41 linear encoder delivers speeds up to 15 m/s, features full-metal jacket construction, and measures only 15 x 15 x 9.8 mm. This non-contact encoder runs on a 40- µm pitch scale with a 0.8-mm ride height to eliminate wear, friction, and hysteresis problems.
Other features include cut-and-tape scale, wide setup tolerances, LED setup indicator, and EMI and RFI shielding. Patented filtering optics average reflections from multiple scale facets to ensure signal stability and accuracy. The device is available in standard industry voltage and with RS-422 outputs.
