AC Tubeaxial Fan Trimmed To Fit Into Standard 1U Height Racks

July 1, 2000

A slimmer version of the Major XT series of ac tubeaxial fans is designed to accommodate high-performance airflow requirements, such as those of cellular base stations, power supplies, servers, and medical devices that must fit into a standard 1U height rack. The new, slimmer version measures 6.75" x 5.91" x 1.50" deep and weighs approximately 1 lb. 9 oz. The fan can generate up to 220 cubic feet per minute of airflow while its Feathered Edge design reportedly ensures quiet, smooth operation. Its venturi is constructed with a die-cast zinc alloy, painted black, and its black polycarbonate propeller meets the UL94V-O flammability rating.
The fan is powered by a permanent split capacitor motor for low power consumption and is thermally protected. It is available in either 115V or 230V models, has an operating temperature range of -10°C to +70°C, and runs at a nominal speed of 3300 rpm. The fan is available with 0.110" terminals and has UL, CUR, TUV and CE approval ratings. Pricing is in the low $20 range in OEM qty.
