Isolation Transformers Suit Heavy-Duty Supplies

Jan. 1, 2001

The B8494 high-isolation voltage transformers are designed for use in switchmode power supplies for solid-state IGBT and GTO motor drive applications. The components are capable of handling working voltages up to 1,800Vrms between the primary and secondary windings. The transformers are 100% tested for partial discharge or corona inception/extinction greater than 2 kVrms at 60 Hz and HiPot at 4.7 kVrms and 60 Hz for 60 seconds. Other specifications include a power rating up to 100 VA at 40°C with a 25-kHz, 100-Vrms input and +5- and ±22-Vdc outputs.
