Eyeing applications that require the power of an ironless core or coreless motor without the associated cost, the Series 6000 brush-commutated, iron-core dc motors measure 22 mm in diameter and deliver peak torque up to 10.2 oz-in with speeds up to 8,550 rpm. They are available in lengths of 1.256", 1.556", and 1.901". A skewed, five-slot armature design and bonded neodymium iron boron magnets are said to allow the motors to generate up to 40% more continuous torque when compared to other 22-mm motors. Additonal features include a modular design that eases customization with cables, shaft-mounted pulleys and gears, ball bearings, multiple windings, optical encoders, and planetary gearheads.
