DPSS Laser Performs LED Scribing

Feb. 3, 2010
Enhancing the Tristar family of Q-switched diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) industrial lasers, the high-repetition-rate 355-2 handles high-throughput LED scribing chores
Enhancing the Tristar family of Q-switched diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) industrial lasers, the high-repetition-rate 355-2 handles high-throughput LED scribing chores. The component delivers over 2W of 355-nm output at 90 kHz and a short-pulse width of less than 25 ns. Features include a motorized third harmonic crystal shifter for stable UV power, an automatic laser purification system to actively clean the laser cavity, and automatic data logging for cradle-to-grave product and process traceability. Other apps for the 355-2 DPSS include prototyping, marking, and stereo lithography. For price, call SPECTRA PHYSICS LASERS, North America, Santa Clara, CA. (408) 980-4300.
