The Model # DIP14-14-000A brushless dc (BLDC) motor meets the requirements of turbomolecular vacuum pump apps by achieving operating speeds up to 70,000 rpm.  The frameless, permanent magnet component measures1.4” in diameter and 1.4” long.  Its rotor/stator part set configuration allows the motor rotor to be directly coupled to the load, resulting in higher operating efficiencies, minimal parts count, and a compact form factor. A stainless steel sleeve secures the magnets in place at the extreme speeds. Pricing is from $100 each in production quantities. BEI KIMCO MAGNETICS, Vista, CA. (800) 572-7560.
