The popular MDrive integrated motor and drive systems are now available with Ethernet connectivity. Systems feature integrated motors, drives, and fully programmable controllers with a standardized IP addressing system that allows up to 255 devices on a network while eliminating the wiring and software configuring of multi-drop systems using RS-422/-485. They use standard RJ-45 connectors and CAT5/6 cabling and support the industrial standard MODBUS/TCP as well as MCode/TCP. An additional enhancement for MDrive Ethernet products is Hybrid Motion Technology, a hardware-based system for real-time response that delivers smooth movement while eliminating stalling, saves energy, and lowers heat while enabling operation at 100% motor torque. Schneider Electric Motion USA, Marlborough, CT. (860) 295-6102.
