Moving heavy loads quickly and/or accelerating theme park rides, the company’s linear induction motors (LIMs) achieve accelerations over 5g and velocities up to 17 m/s. Operating at 400 Vac/75 Hz, the LMG-06-650-SSE generates 2900 N of thrust at a 3% duty cycle. Synchronous velocity is 17 m/s. The LIM performs high speed operations, however it also operates at stall (zero speed) to produce static thrust. Its three-phase coil assembly connects directly to the AC line for single-speed apps or to an adjustable frequency drive for variable-speed control.  H2W TECHNOLOGIES, Valencia, CA. (888) 702-0540.
