Promising to lower overall system costs for HEV/EV motors, the V850E2/PJ4-E 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) integrates a resolver sensor interface. It incorporates a V850E2 CPU core, which comes with a rich set of peripheral functions for motor control. Other features include an ADC, three-phase PWM timer, dual-core lockstep supporting functional safety requirements, With 1 MB of ROM, 80 KB of RAM, a 128 MHz CPU frequency, regulator circuit that enables single power supply operation at 5V with an external transistor, and an operating temperature from -40? to +125?. Available in March, price for the V850E2/PJ4-E MCU will be 60 per unit. RENESAS TECHNOLOGY AMERICA INC., San Jose, CA. (408) 382-7407.
