With an eye on automotive applications, the company's range of FAKRA RF connectors feature an all-metal construction, said to significantly increase robustness and simplify installation. The single-piece, die-cast connector has no plastic insert and, unlike current FAKRA connectors that tend to be front-heavy, they include more material at the back end to maintain equilibrium. The connectors are available in 1-, 2- and 3-way configurations and in the four most common versions: Code A, black (DAB); Code B, natural (DAB with power); Code C, blue (GPS); and Code D, violet (cell phone). Other features include an insertion loss of 0.35 dB. Price for a single-way device in small quantities is $0.90 each. For more details, call Ted Worroll at ITT INDUSTRIES, CANNON, Santa Ana, CA.
