Thought to be the smallest surface-mount microwave switch connector available, the ceramic SWF series switch connector measures 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.4 mm. In addition to a small size, the component's test probes are compatible with the larger SWD series connectors, eliminating the need to change test probes when transitioning to the smaller SWF series. Other features include an operating frequency from dc to 6 GHz, an insertion loss of 0.1 dB maximum to 3 GHz, and a lifespan up to 100 cycles. The RoHS-compliant SWF series (part number: MM8130-2600RB8) is available for approximately $0.16 to $0.20 each depending on quantity. MURATA ELECTRONICS NORTH AMERICA INC., Smyrna, GA.
