The company's next-generation of "electronically-clean" permanent/strippable, acrylic acid-free, ultra low-outgassing bonding tape features improved adhesion that maintains strippability. The ARclean 8906 tape has a permanent adhesive on one side and a cleanly strippable adhesive on the other side. The permanent low-outgassing adhesive is exposed upon removing the white polyester film release liner. This new tape is also available as ARclean 8906-61, which includes a non-silicone polyester release liner for protecting the strippable adhesive coating.
The tapes eliminate contamination and labor costs associated with adhesive residue during rework and also minimize hard disk drive crashes due to contamination. They also feature ultra low total VOCs and low extractable ions.
