Tailored for 31-mm package sizes, the SG-BGA-8000 socket supports BGA devices with a 1-mm pitch. Operating at bandwidths up to 10 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss, the socket can dissipate up to several Watts of power without extra heat

Tailored for 31-mm package sizes, the SG-BGA-8000 socket supports BGA devices with a 1-mm pitch. Operating at bandwidths up to 10 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss, the socket can dissipate up to several Watts of power without extra heat sinking and can handle up to 100W with a custom heat sink. Contact resistance is typically 23 mW per pin. Fabricated with low-inductance elastomer, operating temperature range is -35°C to +85°C, pin inductance is 10.15 nH and capacitance to ground is 0.10 pF. The socket accommodates IC packages such as the IDT 31 x31 mm, 1-mm pitch FCBGA, and supports BGA pitches from 0.8 mm to 1.27 mm. IRONWOOD ELECTRONICS, Burnsville, MN. (800) 404-0204.
