LC Chip Comes in 1008 Package Size

Touted as the only LC chip in a 1008 package, the component core of this parallel resonant chip is a 1008 single-layer chip capacitor. The inductor is wound around the capacitor and is spot-welded to the palladium-platinum-silver terminations. The component is then molded with an epoxy flat top and marked with the resonant frequency. Usable range is 100 MHz to 1.8 GHz with typical Q values from 50 to 75. Tight tolerances are said to eliminate tuning in many applications.
