High-Temp Super Caps Raise Boiling Point

Expanding the company’s portfolio of high-temperature super capacitors, the HS and HW components extend operating and storage temperature from 75ºC to 85ºC and operating voltage from 4.5V to 5.5V. They promise long-life performance up to 2.75V in single-cell versions and 5.5V in dual-cell versions with the two cells in series. Both series operate from -40ºC to +85ºC. The HW series has a 28.5 mm x 17 mm footprint and offers capacitance values up to 0.4F at 5.5V with ESRs as low as 100 mΩ at 5.5V. Depending on the component, thicknesses range from 0.9 mm to 2.9 mm. Available in values up to 0.7F, the HS series measures 39 mm x 17 mm with thicknesses ranging from 0.9 mm to 2.9 mm. ESRs are as low as 55 mΩ.
