New dual winding inductors can be used either as a single inductor or in coupled inductor/transformer applications with a one-to-one turns ratio. Windings for the Coiltronics SDQ12 and SDQ25 can be connected in series or parallel, with an inductance range from 0.47 µH to 4.03 mH and current range from 6.43A to 0.063A. These ferrite shielded, low EMI inductors can be used as a transformer (SEPIC, flyback) and as an inductor (buck, boost, coupled inductor). Applications include CD players, cellular phones, digital cameras, PDAs, PCMCIA cards and GPS systems. The SDQ12 has a maximum height of 1.2 mm, and the SDQ25 a maximum height of 2.5 mm. Supplied in tape and reel packaging, the SDQ12 has 3,800 parts per reel, while the SDQ25 has 2,500. COOPER ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIES, Boynton Beach, FL. (561) 752-5124.
