Based on an aqueous chemistry called rechargeable hydrogen ion solid state (RHISS), the BestCap line of capacitors are intended for use in high-power pulsing applications and designed for use in hand-held and mobile communications. The RHISS technology is said to also result in an environmentally-friendly, non-hazardous material. Evaluation samples have voltage ratings of 5.5V, capacitance values from 60 to 200 mF, and ESR values from 40 to 100 mW, depending on size. Package options are 27 x 17 x 2.5 mm, 27 x 17 x 4.5mm and 48 x 30 x 2.5 mm. Pricing is approximately $4 each/100, with the caps now available for sampling.
