A new single-channel interface for 10 Gb, 100 Gb and 1,000 Gb applications has been developed that measures less than 2.5 mm thick. Model GB4xxx-LP, a single-port Gigabit Ethernet magnetics module, is designed to facilitate development of smaller mobile devices, such as laptop computers, tablet PCs, PCMCIA cards, docking stations, and other low-profile Ethernet devices. The surface-mount module provides a single port, IEEE802.3-compliant transformer/choke device for use in Gigabit Ethernet applications. Four isolation transformers and four common mode chokes are packed into the device, with an option for four auto transformers also available. Pricing is $1.40 each/100K.
