Only 1.6 x 0.8 mm in size, the 0603-size GLYC Series epoxy-encapsulated chip inductors are made by laser cutting a helix in copper that's deposited on an alumina core. Terminals are nickel plated with a solder coat. The series has 13 models spanning an inductance range of 2.2 to 22 nH. Standard tolerance is ±10%. Inductors offer high Q at microwave frequencies with a self-resonant frequency up to 6 GHz. Dc resistance is said to be 1/3 that of comparable conventional devices in this size.
