Stated features of the KP-44 polypropylene film-foil capacitors are high insulation resistance and high pulse handling capabilities with very low dissipation factors. Replacing polystyrene and polycarbonate capacitors, the new caps offer capacitance values ranging from 47 pF to 0.22 µF and operating voltages from 160 Vdc to 1 kVdc. The dv/dt is 1,000 V/µs and tolerances range from ±1% and up. Other values, operating voltages and tolerances are also available. Targeted applications include high frequency and precision control products, switching power supplies, and timing, filter and TV deflection circuits. Prices range from $0.10 each in quantity with delivery times from six to eight weeks.
