Ceramic Pressure Sensors Handle High Pressure In Harsh Apps

July 20, 2010
The ME75X Series monolithic, piezoresistive ceramic sensors are available in pressure ranges from 2 to 400 bar.

Ripe for measuring high pressure in air, harsh, and/or liquid environments, the ME75X Series monolithic, piezoresistive ceramic sensors are available in pressure ranges from 2 to 400 bar. They exploit an ASIC that provides both an amplified and calibrated output.  Operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +125°C and three output options are available: 0.5V to 4.5V ratiometric, 4 mA to 20 mA, or 0 to 10V non-ratiometric.  Other features include linearity and repeatability ranging from less than 0.2% to less than 1.5% depending on the pressure range, an overall accuracy of less than 1% full-scale, and a response time of less than 5 ms. Pricing is approximately $16.75 each/1,000. SERVOFLO CORP., Lexington, MA. (866) 830-9572.
