Unique Design Boosts Foil Resistor Stability

Aug. 22, 2011
Via a recently advanced structural design, the company has enhanced its RCK and S series Bulk Metal Foil (BMF) resistors resulting in improved power dissipation, a thermal stabilization of less than 1s, a thermal EMF of 0.05 µV/°C, resistance tolerance to ±0.005% (50 ppm), and better performance in high-moisture, high-temperature, and high-pulse applications.

Additionally, the components are now available with improved performance testing for better long-term stability under load and other stresses. Samples and production quantities of the improved RCK and S series are available now, with lead times of five days for prototype samples, and from two days to five weeks for standard orders. Pricing starts at $3.87. Vishay Precision Group, Malvern, PA. (484) 321-5300.
