OCR Software Can Be Taught To Read Fonts

The newest version of the company's Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software allows engineers to train it to read a wide variety of fonts and symbols, such as OCR A and B and SEMI font. With the NI OCR software, engineers can access low-level parameters with an easy-to-use training interface, adding application programming flexibility and high-speed identification to PC-based vision systems. The NI OCR technology is included with the Vision Builder for Automated Inspection, an interactive environment that configures, benchmarks and deploys machine vision applications without programming.
