Expanding the NI 515x series PXI/PCI digitizer product line are three digitizers/PC-based oscilloscopes: the 500-MHz PXI-5153 and PCI-5153 and the 1-GHz PCI-5154. All three feature up to 256 MB of memory per channel, enabling them to sustain up to 2-Gsample/s real-time sampling rates over extended data-capture windows. They employ T-Clock technology, which synchronizes multiple instruments and the PXI platform reportedly provides measurement throughput up to 10 times faster than alternative instrument architectures. Natively, the instruments operate with LabVIEW SignalExpress interactive measurement software to acquire data, perform measurements, and view/analyze data in Excel or DIAdem test-management software. Additionally, the 515x digitizers work with the LabVIEW graphical system design platform and the LabWindows/CVI ANSI C development environment as well as other development environments such as ANSI C, C++, and Visual Basic. Prices for the PXI-5153, PCI-5153, and PCI-5154 start from $6,999, $6,999, and $8,999, respectively. NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX. (800) 258-7022.
