March 20, 2014
Tiny Green PC’s fit-PC3i integrates an onboard SIM socket, fit-Headless HDMI plug, dual Gigabit Ethernet networking, and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) support for dual HDMI graphics channels.

Tiny Green PC’s fit-PC3i integrates an onboard SIM socket, fit-Headless HDMI plug, dual Gigabit Ethernet networking, and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) support for dual HDMI graphics channels. The features combine to enhance graphics performance and connectivity in digital signage, surveillance, and telecommunications applications. Based on the company’s tiny, fanless, low-energy fit-PC3 computer, the new PC’s SIM card and optional MiniPCIe cellular modem module allows mobile applications to communicate over networks such as 2G-GPRS-EDGE, 3G-HSPA, and 4G-LTE. The fit-Headless plug is intended for remote high-resolution displays, while CEC capability enables users to operate multiple screens from one controller (via dual HDMI 1.4a display channels). The fit-PC3i is built around AMD’s Embedded G-Series Fusion 64-bit accelerated processing units (APUs) with up to 16 Gbytes of DDR3-1333 memory. Radeon HD processors deliver enhanced graphics capabilities. In terms of audio, the PC includes a Realtek HD audio codec, digital 7.1 S/PDIF, and stereo line-in and -out channels. Beyond the dual GbE and internal SIM socket, I/O includes Bluetooth, four USB 2.0 ports, and two internal mini PCIe sockets.
