With a bandwidth of 500 MHz, the EL4101C and EL4102C integrated video front ends (VFAs) support resolutions from XGA through UXGA and QXGA. Both devices also integrate functions usually relegated to external devices. The EL4101C includes a 4:1 multiplexer for input source selection and a dc restoration circuit. The EL4102C integrates an 18 dB selectable-gain amplifier that is programmable via a three-wire interface in 32-step increments. Both devices are reported to exhibit high slew rates and fast settling times and include a monitor output of the signal selected by the multiplexer. Both the monitor and main outputs are capable of driving 75 ohm video cables. Available in a 24-pin QSOP, the EL4101C and EL4102C are priced at $4.45 and $4.96 each/1,000, respectively.
