The Bus Switch, 74VHC, 74VHCT, 74LCX, and 74VCX are the first logic product families to offer what's claimed as the world's smallest and thinnest 16-pin and 20-pin CMOS logic packaging. The 16-pin and 20-pin packages boast a footprint that's 30% smaller than similar packages such as TVSOPs and TSSOPs. The new package makes for more compact and lighter portable products, such as notebook and sub-notebook PCs, PDAs, cell phones, other handheld products and LCDs. The thin packaging measures 3 mm x 4 mm x 1 mm for the US16 and 3 mm x 5 mm x 1mm for the US20. Both feature a 0.5-mm pin pitch supporting simpler assembly. They're supplied on an embossed tape-and-reel with 2500 parts per reel.
