Addressing standard-definition consumer and industrial video applications, the CLC3800 and CLC3801 triple video amplifiers consume 26.4 mW of power in operation while delivering a differential gain/phase of 0.05%/0.02°. The devices integrate 8-MHz, fourth-order low-pass filters and fixed-gain video drivers. The CLC3800 offers a fixed gain of 6 dB while the CLC3801 offers a fixed gain of 9 dB and both amps can drive two ac- or dc-coupled video loads on each channel. Reportedly, this allows STB, PVR, LCDTV, portable DVD, or video surveillance systems to provide end users with additional output configurations, i.e., dual RGB, YPbPr, or YUV, dual S-Video and dual CV, or six CV channels. Other shared features of the amplifiers include operation from a 3V to 7V supply, an 8.8-mA total supply current, and lead-free SOIC-8 and DFN-8 packages. Pricing starts at $0.30 each/1,000.
