Boasting to be both the smallest and fastest MPEG-2 video decoder core IP, the Videris-HD measures one to two square millimeters and can operate at a sustained 300 Mb/s or 2.4-Gb/s peak input. It is claimed that these data rates and processing speeds are six to eight times greater than the requirements of DVD-movie decoding. Other features include support for resolutions up to 1920 x 1152 and 4:2:2 formats.
