Debuting as a highly integrated USB audio controller for the VoIP telephony market, the W681308 can be designed into all application segments of a Skype or other PC-based VoIP system. The device promises substantially faster design times, higher system reliability, and significantly lower system costs. It can replace from three to four devices in a typical design. The chip is USB2.0 full-speed compatible and integrates a 8051 MCU, 8-/16-/48-kHz sampling rate wideband Codec with a 16-bit ADC/DAC, acoustic-echo cancellation, and an AGC to support USB speakerphone applications. It also supports full-duplex echo cancellation, a three-channel PCM mixer, microphone amplifier and speaker driver, and OTP programming. A complete software-development kit and 8051-based Keil C development system is available. Offered in a 48-pin LQFP, price for the W681308 is $1.80 each/10,000.
