By integrating an on-chip advanced image processing algorithm and many automatic system configuration features, this new family of TFT LCD controllers can: detect the input mode and gauge the horizontal/vertical screen position while synchronizing the frequency and phase of the clock; set the black level and contrast gain; expand the image to full screen for different input modes; and much more.
The family's members include the SD1010A analog-interface and SD1010D digital-interface XGA TFT LCD controllers, both in 128-pin PQFPs, and the SD1110 XGA controller for 15" monitors and SD1210 SXGA controller for 16"-18" monitors, both ICs with analog and digital interfaces and both housed in 160-pin PQFPs. In volume, prices range from $11 to $18 each.
