Optimized for voice-over-IP (VoIP) equipment including ATAs, routers, home gateway servers, and secure routers, the SH7710 200-MHz, 32-bit RISC processor integrates an on-chip IPsec accelerator and two Ethernet controllers. The device encodes and decodes up to four channels of voice while running an operating system, session-initiation protocol, and other networking protocol stacks. Features include operating voltages of 3.3V (I/O) and 1.5V (core), 260 MIPs performance at 200 MHz, 32 KB of cache, 16 KB of X/Y memory, and an operating temperature range from -20°C to +75°C. The device also supports a complete set of VoIP middleware that can be licensed. Available in either a 256-pin HQFP or 256-pin CSP, sample price is $20 each.
