About 50% smaller than comparable devices, the ADV7521NK HDMI v1.3 transmitter embarks as the industry’s smallest, measuring in at 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm x 0.65 mm in a 49-ball WLCSP. The transmitter provides on-chip support for Consumer Electronic Control (CEC), which enables a single remote control to run multiple CEC-enabled HD devices. It also offers full support for HDTV standards up to 1080p/30f, 1080i/60f, 720p/60f, and computer graphics standards up to XGA at 75 Hz. Other features include an I2C master for EDID reading, operation from a single 1.8-V power supply, 5V tolerant I/Os, audio support for S/PDIF for LPCM audio or compressed audio including Dolby Digital and DTS plus two-channel I2S audio for transmitting stereo at sample rates up to 192 kHz, and an operating temperature from -25?C to +85?C.
