Based on the company's Direct Digital Amplification (DDX) technology, the DDX-2000/2060 amplifier chipset includes the DDX-2000 controller and DDX-2060 power device, an all-digital, high efficiency amplifier solution that directly interfaces with digital audio sources such as DVD and MP3 players. The chipset is said to eliminate the requirement for a A/D converter and external heatsink, enabling manufacturers to develop compact products that deliver pure digital sound from source to speaker.
The chipset is suited for products such as digital speakers, PC sound cards, MP3 playback devices, and surround sound systems. Pricing for the chipset is $6.98 each/1,000.
