Supporting VGA of 640 x 480 and XGA of 1024 x 768 with pixel clock frequencies up to 70 MHz, LM2409 triple-channel CRT driver operates from 80V and 12V power supplies and has a 40-MHz cascode output stage capable of driving 8 pF, 40Vpk-pk swing at a maximum output voltage of 68 vdc. At specified frequencies, the device dissipates 50% less power than its predecessor, the LM2406. And compared to discrete solutions, the power supply can be reduced by 5W. A TO-220, 11-pin package with heatsink tab minimizes EMI by making it possible to use a small enclosure.
