Introduced as a companion to the company's NT1004 that enables streaming of video, audio and data simultaneously through a PC's USB port, the NT1005 TV chip enhances the performance of the NT 1004 by providing data streaming for Vertical Blank Interval (VBI). The device enables VBI information to be detected by PCs and TVs so that television, VBI, and Internet capabilities can be integrated in the same product. Also included in the NT1005 is an infrared remote control interface.
