Providing sub-nanometer position resolutions with no compromises to speed and throughput, the SPiiPlus and MC4U multi-axis motion controllers enlist a sine-cosine encoder multiplier that enables accurate, high-resolution positioning while reducing jitter and settling times. The SPiiPlus encoder multiplier features 1 Vp-p differential inputs that use a maximum theoretical sine-cosine encoder multiplication factor of 65,536. With input frequencies up to 2.5 MHz, the achievable maximum velocity is not dependant on the selected multiplication factor, enabling the use of ultra high-resolution laser feedback devices.
