The SOC-it system controller from MIPS Technologies uses a pair of switches to provide a MIPS processor and simultaneous access to system resources. The switches simplify system-on-a-chip design while handling twice the traffic of a comparable bus architecture. The standard controller handles SDRAM and up to three dual-port intellectual-property interfaces. Three standard interfaces are available. SOC-it versions are available for 32- and 64-bit MIPS cores.
