A low-noise (75 nV) 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and quad 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) takes MCU analog to a new level. The MSC1210 family suits applications that demand high-precision analog. The 30-MHz 8051 core includes dual data pointers, 4 to 32 kbytes of flash memory with security support, external memory capability, a 2-kbyte boot ROM, 1.2 kbytes of SRAM, four I/O ports, a 32-bit accumulator/shifter, dual UARTs, three timer/counters, an I2C multimaster interface, and a serial peripheral interface with direct memory access. Dual hardware breakpoints ease debugging. Both the MSC1211 and MSC1212 come in a TQFP-64. Prices range between $16.15 and $19.95.
