MIPS recently announced SoC-it, a new platform for building systems-on-achip (SoCs) by "snapping together" preverified IP (MIPS-Verified) and a MIPS core. Based on core (kernel) and peripheral IP blocks, the platform includes development and real-time operating-system (RTOS) software.
