Samsung Expands Its Presence In NOR Flash Market

Samsung Electronics now offers a comprehensive range of NOR flash memory from 16-Mbit to 512-Mbit densities to any interested party. Previously, the company provided NOR memory only on a limited basis.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has enlarged its participation in the worldwide NOR flash market. The company previously provided NOR memory only to its largest customers upon request and as part of some multi-chip packages. It now offers a comprehensive range of NOR flash from 16-Mbit to 512-Mbit densities to any interested party.

The expanded NOR flash business strategy applies to all major applications markets, including networking, handsets, and other consumer electronics. The company has implemented production schedules to allow quick turnaround in order to meet customer fast-track demands for NOR flash, primarily in the handset performance.
