A set of IEEE 1394 (FireWire) bus drivers for Windows CE merges these two standards into a low-cost digital video interface. The product can speed the development of products using both IEEE 1394 and Windows CE such as set-top boxes expected to be used in delivering video to home systems. This convergence can make up a new generation of devices with standardized computing environments, interconnected via a cable to offer transfer speeds up to 400 Mbps.
