In addition to parallel operation of on-chip RISC and speech processing engines, ISD-T267 CompactSPEECH series of digital voice processors also offers advanced digital telephone answering device functionality and interface support for flash memories from most suppliers. The processors are designed to offer high-quality speech processing, full duplex speaker phone capabilities, and multi-country Caller ID support for Bellcore (U.S.), Japanese, Spanish, French, Dutch and German speaking countries. The versatile memory interface includes parallel and serial flash support and handles telephone memory functions such as speed dial and lowest cost routing. CompactSPEECH provides up to 16 minutes of recording time (per 4-Mb flash device).
