A 30% gain in ac performance and tighter skews are promised for a new family of ECL logic versus comparable devices presently on the market. With these and other improvements offered by ECLinPS Plus logic, designers reportedly can build high-end computers, instrumentation, and other systems that offer faster throughputs and higher accuracy. ECLinPS Plus single-/multi-gate logic devices offer faster propagation delays and rise/fall times than the firm’s previous ECL families. They are also said to provide superior isolation over multiple-gate logic and are optimized for performance at 3.3V (and operational at 5V). Presently, eight single essential logic primitives in 8- and 20-lead SOIC packages are available.
