Space-sensitive visual inspection tasks are the target for theIK-MXI, a miniaturized, one-piece color video camera, claimed as one's of the world's smallest. Measuring just 17 mm x 56 mm in diameter and weighing 20 grams, the camera is suited for a variety of industrial imaging applications. It is also adaptable to applications such as clandestine security and broadcast video. The camera is not required to be connected to a camera control unit. Its internal circuitry enables functions normally done at the CCU level to be performed in the camera head unit, eliminating the need for a CCU and resulting in improved flexibility in the placement of the camera. This versatility is further enhanced by the camera's ability to use all standard size mico lens, in addition to fitting a C-mount adapter.
