By reducing component count, the MAX4359/MAX4360 complete 4x4 and 8x4 video crosspoint switches simplify designs traditionally done with discrete components. The ICs offer a selectable serial or parallel digital interface to control the routing of any of their 4 or 8 inputs to any of their 4 outputs. And input buffers and three-statable output buffers allow easy interconnection of multiple stages to achieve larger crosspoint arrays. The devices offer 65-MHz/3-dB bandwidth and 80-dB all-channel off-isolation with 70 dB single-channel crosstalk at 5 MHz. MAX4359 comes in a 24-pin SO or 36-pin SSOP and MAX4360 sits in a 36-pin SSOP.
