Designed to embrace the emerging 192-kHz sampling rates, the AK410x family of digital audio transmitters also support standard formats such as S/PDIF, AES3 and EBU. The AK4101 offers eight channels and has four RS-422 differential drivers integrated on a single monolithic chip. The AK4102, a four-channel transmitter, allows users to provide two output-channel pairs. One pair is for SPDIF and the other is for AES/EBU formats. Capable of operating either with a microprocessor or stand alone, the devices allow eight audio-input formats.
