Representing an expansion of the LCX family of 3.3V logic devices, the LCXH series boasts of bus-hold circuitry, which allows the inputs to be held at their last known state, thereby eliminating the need for pull-up resistors. The LCXZ devices, in contrast, feature power-up and power-down circuitry, providing designers with the option of having a buffer for powering-up and powering-down into a high-impedance state. Prices range from $0.67 (eight-bit) devices to $1.60 (16-bit devices) each/1,000.
